Dr. Loy Vaughan is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon. A native of North Shelby County, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and his medical degree from UAB School of Medicine. After medical school, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, LA. He sees patients with any musculoskeletal condition but has particular interest in shoulder, hip, and knee joint replacement, shoulder and knee arthroscopy, and fracture care. His wife Kristen is a physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. They have a son named Chris. In his spare time, Dr. Vaughan enjoys exercising, traveling, hiking, snow skiing, watching and playing sports, and spending time with family.
